In most cases, the Contest Commissioner emails the Contest Link and Password to prospective players, who then visit the Contest page and select their own squares.
However, the Commissioner has the ability to add "Offline Players" to the Contest as well.
What is an Offline Player?
An Offline Player is simply a player added directly to the Contest by the Commissioner, who doesn't have a real SBPS User Account. Therefore, any boxes added as Offline Players will not have a username, a player name, or an email address associated with them. These boxes will very simply be just text in the box.
How to Add an Offline Player
If you want to add an Offline Player, this is done via the Players page within your Contest Settings page.
Near the top of the Players page, you'll find a simple view of your Contest Squares.
Simply click on any of the empty boxes within the Contest Grid and you'll be given the option of adding an Offline Player by providing the text you want visible in that box.
You'll notice that in the Player Listing below, any Offline Players will be indicated as such, without a player name or username shown in the directory.
