After upgrading your Contest through the SBPS payment portal, you should immediately see all ads removed and all popups eliminated from your Contest pages. This change takes place right away, on the very next page refresh.
If you are still seeing those advertisements, it is almost always for one of the following reasons:
You upgraded the wrong Contest. Believe it or not, some people find themselves reviewing one their older contests from years prior - or are even simply viewing the SBPS Demo Contest - and hit the button to Remove the Ads. As you may have guessed, this results in the upgrade of the Contest being viewed, instead of the desired Contest.
You upgraded the correct Contest a long time ago. SBPS Contest upgrades are active for a 90-day window, which is typically more than enough time to invite players and enjoy the duration of the event. After 90 days, the Contest returns back to its standard state with advertisements helping to pay for the hosting costs.
Your payment was never processed, or an error occurred during it. This doesn't typically happen. The first step is to check if you received a confirmation email. If you didn't, your payment likely never went through. You can also follow up with your credit card provider to see if the charge from SBPS is on your pending charges or statements.
You aren't actually on one of your Contest pages. When you upgrade your Contest, you are removing ads for any and all visitors to your actual Contest pages. This includes the Rules page, the main Contest page, and the Winners and Players pages. However, if you navigate away from your own Contest and start viewing other Contests, or perhaps are reviewing the current NFL standings or schedules, you will very likely stumble upon ads on those pages. Additionally, if you use the Find page to search for your Contest, you will see ads on that page and before you land on your Contest page, but once on your Contest page, the ads will not show up.
You upgraded through one of our partners and we need a little more info from you to process it. If you upgraded via one of our partnerships (Underdog), please read this article: https://sbps.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/12255601578139
